Devin Davalos (17) Shot Multiple Times & Killed Near Brazos River
A day after his family reported him missing, the body of 17-year-old Devin Davalos was found at a boat ramp along the Brazos River in Brazoria County.
Police say the teen had been shot several times. Investigators haven’t charged anyone with murder, but two teens have been arrested. Both are connected to the case.
Michael Trevino Jr., 17, and an unidentified juvenile are both facing aggravated assault charges. No one has been charged with killing Davalos.
Investigators say suspects drove Davalos in his car to an area near a boat ramp in Brazoria County and dumped his body. His car was found burning near Old Van Vleck Road in Bay City.
As late as 10 p.m. Thursday, the Davalos family was desperately trying to find the teenager. In a post on Facebook, his older brother, Derrick, asked for anyone with information to call. When the phone rang, it was Bay City police telling the family investigators had found Devin Davalos’ torched car.
Derrick Davalos says that’s when the family knew something bad had happened.
