Bicyclist Killed By Hit-Run Driver Interstate 35
Authorities are looking for the driver of a Honda Accord with front end damage after a male bicyclist was found dead along the IH35 North frontage road early Saturday morning.
The Live Oak police department says a man in his 20s was riding his bike in the north bound access lane when a driver struck him. The bicyclist, who has yet to be identified, was thrown off the bicycle into the grass near the
Jordan Ford car dealership. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passing driver said she didn't see a bike in the center of the access road and ran over the bike -- after stopping, she saw the man's body and called police. Police with the City of Live Oak said the passing driver was not a suspect in the man's death.
