HWY 22 Closed - Fatal Crash Near Hillsboro

State Highway 22 has been shut down for most of Saturday morning in response to a fatal accident involving a cement truck and an SUV.

The crashed happened just after 7 a.m. on SH 22 just outside of the Hillsboro city limits going west.

Police confirmed at least one of the drivers died due to injuries sustained in the crash.

Authorities have not confirmed when SH 22 will reopen but urge drivers to find an alternate route.

The crash is still under investigation.
