Teacher Arrested For Sexual Assault Of Child

A Killeen ISD Teacher was arrested Friday night and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.

An investigation began on Wednesday after a student victim complained that their teacher had inappropriate physical contact with them.

The case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney's Office, and a warrant was issued for the arrested of Thomas Lloyd Cannon.

Cannon was a Kindergarten teacher at Iduma Elementary School according to the school's website.

Killeen ISD issued a statement Friday night saying Cannon was removed from the classroom, and will not return pending the investigation.

Parents were notified of the investigation by phone calls.
