Tommy Lee Benitez Of Beaumont Killed In Crash

One person is dead following a late night one vehicle crash along Interstate-10 East near FM 365 overpass in Beaumont.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the driver of the vehicle, 20-year-old Tommy Lee Benitez of Beaumont, was driving when he lost control and hit a guardrail.

Benitez was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead that the scene, while his 20-year old passenger was taken to baptist hospital in Beaumont with minor injuries.
