The Amarillo Police Department is asking drivers to avoid Interstate 40 and Soncy St. as authorities investigate an apparent bomb threat in the area.
Police did not release more information on the exact nature of the threat.
People inside of a building along the interstate's frontage road were evacuated as a precaution.
