Busted With $1.8 Million Cash Hidden In Vehicle

A 41-year-old woman told deputies she was traveling from Beaumont when they found about $1.8 million in cash hidden inside of her vehicle, according to the Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office.

Rocio Esmeralda Medina was arrested for money laundering after deputies stopped her in a 2011 Chevrolet pickup truck for a traffic violation, the sheriff's office said a news release.

Deputies say she told them she was traveling from Beaumont after helping a friend that had broken down.

She was traveling west on Interstate 10 near the 614 mile marker, the release states.
