Dustin Dauherty Died In Boating Accident Sunday

Authorities Monday identified a man who died at a local hospital after a boating accident at Stillhouse Hollow Park in Belton as Dustin Dauherty, 37, of Holland.

Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife game wardens and Bell County sheriff’s deputies responded to the lake just before 5 p.m. Sunday after receiving a report of the accident.

They found a sinking boat and a man who said his brother was still in the water.

Rescuers found Dauhtery, brought him ashore and performed CPR, authorities said.

He was taken to Seton Medical Center Harker Heights where he was pronounced dead.
