Help Locate Escaped Prisoner David Weldon Rowe

Authorities are searching for an inmate who escaped from an Ellis County facility on Monday.

David Weldon Rowe, 67, was an inmate for a non-violent driving while intoxicated.

Rowe was working in an alternative program doing weed work Monday. Police say he took off at about 9:40 a.m.

Authorities are asking people in the immediate area of the facility to stay inside.

Maypearl ISD was on lockdown for hours due to the escape, but classes are out for the day and students have gone home.
