According to Fox News, six conservative members of the House Freedom Caucus were on the list:
- Reps. Mo Brooks, R-Ala.
- Scot DesJarlais, R-Tenn.
- Jeff Duncan, R-S.C.
- Trent Franks, R-Ariz.
- Morgan Griffith, R-Va.
- Jim Jordan, R-Ohio.
A law enforcement source told CNN it is unclear whether the recovered item was an "assassination list," adding that none of the shooting victims were on the list.
CBS News reports Brooks and Duncan were at Wednesday's baseball practice, though Duncan left prior to the shooting.
Hodgkinson, whose social media accounts suggest he was anti-Republican and pro-Bernie Sanders, died from injuries sustained in a shootout with Capitol Police.
Sen. Sanders, I-Vt., who noted that Hodgkinson had volunteered on his presidential campaign, condemned the shooting "in the strongest possible terms."
