Man Drowned On 4th Of July In The Comal River
One man drowned on the Comal River Tuesday, police said.
Around 11:10 a.m. Tuesday, police were called the 300 block of South Gilbert Ave. in New Braunfels, near the San Antonio Street Bridge, for a possible drowning at the Comal River.
Upon arrival, other river-goers pointed to the body of an unconscious male that was found in the water.
Emergency personnel attempted life-saving measures, but were not successful.
The man was pronounced dead and no foul play is suspected. An autopsy was ordered and the incident remains under investigation.
Officials have not yet released the man's identity.
