5-Car Crash Caused By Wrong-Way Driver Who Fled

Police said a wrong-way driver caused a 5-car crash on Saturday. To make matters worse, authorities said the man ran from the scene to a bus stop in an attempt to make his getaway on a VIA bus. That plan, however, was unsuccessful.

Police said the suspect first hit a pickup truck hauling a Bobcat around 1 p.m.. That accident was one of several the suspect caused along Culebra Road between Neff and Goodrich Avenue in San Antonio, according to authorities.

After the accidents, the suspect got out of the car and ran to a nearby bus stop to try and catch a bus. There, police arrested him.

Authorities expect to charge him with failure to stop and render aid.

Two people in one of the cars the suspect hit were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
