Denton police are looking for a Fort Worth Firefighter for taking down and damaging two U.S. flags from the south side of the Denton County Courthouse on the early morning of Sept. 9.

Michael James Wagemann, who has been employed by the Fort Worth Fire Department for 7 years, had originally agreed to turn himself in, but failed to show up. A warrant issued on Oct. 6, charging him with Criminal Mischief remains outstanding.

The Fort Worth Fire Department said Wagemann has been removed from any contact with the public and has been placed under official administrative investigation until the matter is resolved.
