A man and his ex-girlfriend are dead after a murder-suicide carried out by the husband in a Killeen convenience store. Police say the shooting happened around 11:55 p.m. at the Valero Corner Store, located at 1000 W. Stan Schlueter Loop.
When they arrived, officers found the man and woman dead. The murder-suicide was preceded earlier in the day with a confrontation between the two at the store, where the woman was an employee. She had called police during the first confrontation, but he had left by the time they arrived. The ex-boyfriend then came to the store again and argued with the woman before shooting her and ultimately turning the gun on himself.
