Mayor Chris Roberts welcomed the attendees, who filled the lobby at City Hall. The invocation and benediction were delivered by Capt. Debra Maund, USAR Chaplain.

USAF ROTC Cadets from the University of Washington presented the colors, and six year old Miss Symphony Ames sang the national anthem.

Mayor Roberts led the pledge of allegiance, made opening remarks, and presented Major Guerrero with a certificate of recognition from the American Legion.
Brigadier General Ray Coffey, USAVR introduced the keynote speakers, USMC Major Bridget Guerrero.
An update on the veterans' memorial bricks, and closing remarks were delivered by WW II Air Force pilot Dwight Stevens.

An update on the veterans' memorial bricks, and closing remarks were delivered by WW II Air Force pilot Dwight Stevens.
Stevens announced his retirement from leading the veterans group and announced that Brigadier General Ray Coffey will be taking over the leadership role in January.
A recording of Kate Smith singing "God Bless America" was played with many in the audience singing along.

After the meeting was over the American Legion Post 227's Ladies Auxiliary provided refreshments.
