In Houston, we could see rainfall of 15 to 25 inches with isolated areas getting up to three feet of total rainfall by Wednesday. KHOU 11 Chief Meteorologist David Paul says while heavy rain is likely, he's hopeful the rainfall will be spread out over a period of several days and reduce the threat of flash flooding.

"Harvey is expected to be a major hurricane at landfall, bringing life-threatening storm surge, rainfall and wind hazards to portions of the Texas coast," officials at the National Hurricane Center stated.

The latest forecast track has Harvey making landfall near Corpus Christi as a Category 3 storm late Friday night into early Saturday morning. As of the 4 a.m. Friday advisory winds are currently at 105 mph. Source: KHOU
