The county judge issued a mandatory evacuation of its nearly 37,000 residents at midnight.

Judge Nate McDonald's office said it wants everyone out of the county by 10 a.m., ahead of the high winds and flooding potential that comes with Hurricane Harvey's arrival later tonight.

Buildings and homes are boarded up, and in some areas, it seems like a ghost town.

McDonald said residents in need of help evacuating the city should meet at 10 a.m. at one of two meeting places, including the Bay City Civic Center or the Palacios High School parking lot. Source: ABC13
