Man Injured After Hitting DPS Cruiser
A driver is hospitalized after striking a Department of Public Safety vehicle early Sunday morning.
Texas DPS says a trooper was investigating a minor accident around 1:45 a.m. with all emergency lights activated on U.S. 84 near FM 2681.
A tow truck on scene was loading the crashed car in the first accident when a Chevrolet pickup truck struck the DPS car in the rear and crashed it into the tow truck.
The trooper was not in the vehicle at the time.
Additionally, the trooper, tow truck operator, and original driver were not injured.
The male pickup driver that struck the DPS vehicle was seriously injured and flown to Hillcrest.
The pickup driver has not been identified and was not wearing a seatbelt.
DPS is investigating the incident. KWTX
